Annual Plant Sale - Saturday, May 14, 2016- 9am - 3pm

 Dear Fellow Gardeners, 

Welcome to a very exciting year for the Richfield Garden Club! 2015 promises to be one of the most productive and fun years in recent memory and later when we recall those activities, we will remember it as a pivotal year for the club. 

February 27 - Presentation "Square Foot Vegetable Gardening" 10:00 am to 11:30am at the Augsburg Library - 7100 Nicollet Ave So.

April 28– May 1 -  Many of our Garden Club Members will be entering the annual “Art In Bloom” at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. The entrant creates a floral design that is their interpretation of a piece of art. 

May 14 - The Annual Plant Sale will provide the opportunity for gardeners to buy plants and vegetables for their gardens. This event will be held on the grounds of the Richfield Historical Society. 

May 21 - The Garden Club will be selling plants at the Farmers Market  7 - 12PM  Presentation "Backyard Composting Basics" Augsburg Library - 7100 Nicollet Ave.

July 16-17 - Richfield Gardeners are excited to participate in the annual Tri-City Flower Show held at Southtown shopping center in Bloomington. Gardeners from Bloomington, Edina and Richfield compete for ribbons in design and botany. 

July 30th - The eighth Richfield Beautiful Garden Tour which is a self-guided tour of private and public gardens in Richfield. Maps can be purchased at all municipal buildings.

September 17 - Presentation "Carefree Gardening as we age" at Augburg Library -7100 Nicollet Ave So. 

October 22 - The Garden Club will provide the food for the Fall Festival Craft Fair which is a fund raiser for our scholarship grants held at the Richfield Community Center. 

November 5 - Fall Luncheon with a location to be announced. 

With activities in nearly every month, the Garden Club is a major player for holding events in Richfield. Our members are kept busy and welcome everyone who is interested in joining in! If you are interested in one event or several, don’t miss out on the chance to show your creativity and expertise. The Garden Club is open to all and the only criterion is that you like to have fun in the dirt!
